New flight controller from STM; STM32L4-DISCO

by ZenMind » Tue Oct 20, 2015 8:06 pm

STMicroelectronics has recently (in the past couple of months or so) released a new Discovery series board with 9-DoF on it, like the STM32F3-DISCOVERY. This one's based on the STM32L4 series, and has a friendlier pinout.

I'm getting one myself and may be willing to port TauLabs flight control to it, but I don't have a lot of free time these days; figured I'd make sure the folks here knew about it, since it's another cheap (~$20) and very powerful (but large) board, with all the sensors and gpio/i2c/serial/spi required for basic flight onboard. It also has 16MB of SPI flash on the board, which could be interesting for logging flight data.
