Sparky2 without barometer wont work

by wilhelmsen » Tue Aug 02, 2016 8:56 pm

I have soldered up my own Sparky2 and it has worked nicely ever since. Unfortunaly, I broke my barometer the other day and now it won't mount to my computer properly, just give me the error blinks indicating that it fails initializing the barometer. I removed the baro and it still has the same error.

I have found that I like to only fly acro and racing, so I have never used the features a barometer brings, so I dont want to buy another baro for my next build. I removed the broken baro and was expecting things to work, but does Sparky2 demands it to be there? I really dont want to populate the board with stuff I never use either way. Does it refuse to boot without the rfm22b module as well?

Does anyone have the answer to this?
I too was thinking about a scaled down version without baro or RF module. I was assuming I could just leave them off, but maybe it will hang if there is no response from them?
