mavlink telemetry

by sborodin » Tue Jan 05, 2016 2:35 pm

It seems that there is a support for mavlink protocol in the code.

But I can't figure out how to set it up.
I connected Raspberry Pi to UART2, installed mavproxy on it, started it up and it seems to be working.
mfvproxy listens on port 14550, by default.

In GCS options I found "IP network telemetry" and filled lines with the IP and port of my Raspy.
Just in case I did the same in "UAV object proxy", having no clue of what is it.

On the configuration page og GCS I said that USART2 is "Mavlink", but there are two "Mavlinks".
And no idea which one is doing what.

Tried to connect to UDP address - no luck.

I am kind of frustrated of lots of "meaningles" parameters one has to setup and no description which one
is doing what.

Not to offend people doing a big work, but GCS is very amature: people do it for themselves.
It is useless for "users", who is not a "developer".
