Where do you connect the FrSky telemetry (X4RSB) - Main port?
What settings? I find FrSky sensor hub - is this correct?

I have the Sparky 2 controller

Didn't think tfr4 had telemetry? Thought you needed D or X series for that. D series has frsky telemetry hub type and X series has spartport..

Does the latest firmware for sparky 2 miss frsky s.port telemetry?

I have enabled frsky s.port in the modules section

But in Hardware -> MainPort, I only find frsky sensor hub

replaced the x4r with an d4r-II and selected FrSky hub telemetry - all fine

Sorry to hear that. Does the FrSky hub telemtry also needs an inverter?

And i think that its only a software problem, and may can be fixed.

I do not know if Sparky 2 miss s.port support or if I do something wrong.
I have to use the inverter on Sparky 2 (Using STM32F4) Sparky "1" is based on STM32F3 and can run FrSky telemetry without inverter.

On my quanton i can select the FrSkySmartport telemetry for a UART, even if the module is not enabled.
And as sparky2 seems not to be in the official in taulabs (at least on github), i have seen a sparky2 brach from peabody where the SPort telemetry seems not to be defined yet: https://github.com/peabody124/TauLabs/b ... parky2.xml

But i don't think its a principal problem. Just not added yet.

And i know that F3 don't need a inverter, but F4 does. Thats why i made this simple "dual logic inverter" solution. I was just interested if the inverter is also needed for the FrSky hub telemtry and if the inverter works for you, as it seems that you have build the solution i presented here.

Wanted to know if this also works for you, as i had no other feedback for my solution yet.

I`m using your inverter when using the hub mode, and it works fine.

Hi All,

I already started a thread under the Hardware section, but maybe my problem would be better located here.

I just build my first quad using a Sparky 2.0, in is working fine so far, impressive hardware and software.
At this point let me first state a big thanks to all the guys/girls working on this open hard- and software!

Now to my problem:
It did not yet succeed in using the FrSky S.PORT Telemetry.
I built an inverter circuit using the schematic from the Wiki with a n-channel and a p-channel FET.
Reduced the 39k resistor to 5k.
In CGS enabled the FrSky S.PORT Telemetry module and configured the main-port to FrSky S.PORT Telemetry.

Measuring with a scope I can observe that the direction FrSky X8R -> Sparky2 works fine.
I see clean signal edges, reasonable rise times and finally the inverting look as it should.
But measuring at the Tx pin of Sparky2 main-port I see no activity at all.

What might be wrong in my setup?

Receiver control data via S.Bus on Sparky2 receiver ports worked directly out of the box by the way.

Has anyone this yet running?

Thanks in advance for every help,
Regards,
Thomas
