GCS Software Crash

by chrisrevv » Tue Oct 04, 2016 1:11 pm

Hi, I just tried to configure helicopter as the vehicle type in GCS Ver 20151123 with my sparky 2.0 as soon as I click apply the software hangs and the only option is to close.
My pc is running windows 10 so I tried installing on a windows 7 VM and I get the same result..
Any fixes available? I will try an earlier version of GCS next.

Update -- I went all the way back to GCS Ver 20150713-4b9fc7dc46
first version to support the Sparky 2.0 and it also crashes.. its a shame I was really looking forward to testing this on a heli .. is there a chance it will ever be fixed? as from what I can see its been present for quite a while..

Update 2 -- Ok I have found that if you go to the System tab -> SystemSettings -> AirframeCategorySpecificConfiguration then change the property manualy for AirframeType to HeliCP and write the changes then reboot , GCS no longer crashes, you can configure the servo outputs ect and apply the settings all ok.

Please consider testing on dRonin. Tau Labs isn't really developed anymore and we've made some changes for improved helicopter support (though most of our users are definitely still on multirotors and fixed wing).
