Fixed wing no work

by Kawobei » Sat Oct 04, 2014 12:32 pm

As far as I am aware there is no way to configure fixed wing autonomous flight.
At least the sparky v1 does not boot with fixedwingpwthfollower and pathplanner turned on.

How would you like me to help diagnose the problem?

I could order a quanton and see if it can load both modules?

I really need to play around with FixedWing again :(. I keep saying that, but have been really busy with new boards and trying to get the next release out.

You might want to look at ChiBIOS which frees up a few K of memory (currently, potentially more) viewtopic.php?f=17&t=3

Also, do you know the planner is needed? The follower should be all that is needed for RTH and PH.

Loaded ChiBIOS 20141004 couldnt get board to boot after flash even tried safeboot.
Reloaded Next 20141001 flashed and then erased board after successful boot.
Reflashed to ChiBIOS 20141004 and board booted.
Turned on FixedWingPathFollow and rebooted all good
Turned on GPS and setup outputs and vehicle settings.
FC (sparky) fails to boot now.
Tried rescue safe boot but doesnt help.
To get it back I have to load the Next bios, erase everything and start again.

On next it starts with just GPS and FixedWingFollower. Does that boot for you?

What do you mean "fault about attitude time out"? Can you link to your configuration file?

Ok I started taking a look at this code. It needs some work before it is safe to fly.
