Took some video today.
Tested AH, PH, Attitude (self levelling).
All worked as they should. Tried RTH which worked except had a bit of an overshoot. Will post video tomorrow.

Make sure you are using at least the 9/22/15 release otherwise you will get RTH overshoot.

Just for info the RTH velocity is separate from the velocity with which it tries to hold position. It is flying a path home mode and governed by the RTH velocity. Once it reaches a point where it is close it switches to hold mode which is governed by horizontalmax velocity. With the default RTH velocity = 3m/s and a default horizontal max velocity = 10m/s there can still be a sizable difference at times and it overshoots home because of the burst of speed when switching modes. So if you like to loiter fast then you will need to raise RTH velocity. If you loiter slow then you can reduce horizontalvelocitymax. In other words decrease the difference between the two if overshoot is a big problem. Also you will need to use newer version in order to adjust RTH velocity.

As soon as I can get out for more testing I'll give it a go pug.
Should it turn yaw to the direction of home as mine just backed itself up

No it doesn't turn nose to home. Just flies back without changing heading so you got correct response.

just bought an MS Surface 3 not pro as i wanted a ground station i had looked at android but for me TL Gcs would have been the only thing i would have used it on. This is useful for all the other traditional heli software i use at the field, also the old net book was showing its age.
Its running win 10 and works perfectly with oplink mini connected, just make sure you use the CDC driver. Reboot using recovery options and select unsigned driver. i'm sure everyone knows this but thought i would put it here.
Off to do more testing.

Sparky 2 QAV 250 Clone

Hi Dan.

Looking forward to your feedback on how it flies, and a few videos.

I recently read the post on RCGroups where they compared the QAV500 to the Hoverthings FPV. Looks like the QAV500 came out a winner.

Like your motors by the way The OP CC is a good FC for FPV.

Cheers
