Antenna tube mount for the FrSky RX ready.

I design my mods, so it`s possible to use 6" props on this quad. That`s why I have to mount the antenna tubes in the rear like this + get some distance between the different antennas.

When this is done, my ZMR250 V1 is ready. Next part is an optional GPS mount for a mini GPS module.

Busy at work for a couple of days/no RC or 3D printer time - but hope to have it ready for maiden test next weekend.

Cool log. I´m curious about the 433mhz antenna though - how do they compare to the normal/whip/sander antennas in terms of range? They look perfect for a miniquad and if i can get a solid 500-1000 m out of them that would be enough for most miniquads i guess.

I hope that James makes the TauLink module that can be used in radios like the Taransi. If not I may buy a Hawkeye Open LRS module.

Then I can get telemetry and radio using the radio module integrated on Sparky 2 and skip the FrSky RX

I have not tested the range yet, but 433Mhz normally have a better range then 2,4Ghz

The last parts for this project arrived yesterday:
- Mini servo for FPV camera mount V2 (for later)
- “Mini” GPS module
- Some wires for LED and GPS..
- Components for the Telemetry inverter

The Cornlight LEDs are 12V, so I plan to connect them to the Sparky 2 like this.

Replaced the X4R with an FrSky D4R-II and selected FrSky hub telemetry - now I have telemetry on my Taranis

How much many amps can the sparky2 drive the LEDs with?

Øyvind, you looking to sell some inverters? :)

I only have mini pcb to make 3 invertes - so no large production :-)

Have to ask James about t he LED current.

Did a short maiden yesterday.

A bit "saggy" and unstable, but motors, ESCs.. worked fine

Next:
- Tune the voltage and current scaling (values from the KISS PDB) so I get the correct values and low voltage warnings on my Taranis radio.
- Study and configure the different flight modes
- Test the auto tune function
